My dear Sir 
I have shown the model of your Patent Fender to persons interested in building, but none have adopted it in their houses.  As stated in my former letter, stoves are generally used for warming houses here & there are but few open fire places in Lexington.  I do not think therefore that there will be much demand for fenders. 
I will however place your model where it can be seen & hold it subject to your order.  When you desire it, send for it. 
All college buildings are warmed by stoves, which are generally thought to be more convenient & economical.
