The mission of the Mudd Center is to advance dialogue, teaching, and research about important ethical issues in public and professional life. In light of this mission, each year the Mudd Center will choose a specific topic in ethics to explore in depth during the course of the academic year. The topic that was chosen for the 2014-2015 school year was “Race and Justice in America.” As we celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, this seemed like an appropriate time to step back and reflect upon the current state of racial justice in this country.
