dc.descriptionOne of these photographs shows the West Virginia "float" for the 1948 Mock Convention Parade which features coal miners on the back of a truck borrowed from the Rockbridge Farmers Co-op. The truck carries a banner for West "By God" Virginia as it passes in front of the local A&P Food Store. The other photograph shows elephants in the parade.en_US
