dc.descriptionThese photographs show parts of the convention floor during the 1956 Mock Convention. One photograph shows a banner for Harriman -- W. Averell Harriman was Governor of New York and ran for U.S. President in 1952 and 1956. Another photograph was taken when the Mock Convention resumed following Alben Barkley's sudden death. It captures the crowd during a praryer for Barkley.en_US
