These photographs were taken by Hannah Pamelia Rak during July, 2014 in Athens. The program was the Athenian Agora Excavations. These photographs were part of the Study Abroad Photo Exhibit on October 14, 2014. Hannah Pamelia Rak is a member of the class of 2015 of Washington and Lee University. Student statement about their experience: "The archaeological excavation at the Athenian Agora gave students the invaluable opportunity to uncover sites ranging from the Byzantine to Mycenean time periods in the heart of Athens. Students learned both archaeological techniques and Athenian history through their discovery of artefacts and features. These priceless clues to the life in ancient Athens gave new context to the material students had read in courses at W&L and the archaeological combination of hard and soft science allowed students to have a tactile connection to the ancient world."
