Student statement about their experience: "I spent the semester in Morocco and I can't imagine going anywhere else. Every weekend I was able to visit different parts of Morocco from all the way in the south in Marrakech to way up in the north in Tangier. I even got to see things that weren't even technically "Morocco" with my weeklong trip to Amsterdam and our field trip to a Spanish territory (where I wasn't supposed to take pictures but did so anyway just because it was so beautiful). Even more meaningful was my host family. My host mom treated me like a real daughter, insisting that I come with her on her trips to the souk (market) so that she could show me, from start to finish, the way Moroccan food was prepared and sharing her clothes with me so that I could dress like a "real" Moroccan. My host father would patiently help me when I was struggling with my Arabic homework and even went above and beyond by bringing home books that he got from the elementary school where he was a principal. I would definitely recommend Morocco as a place to study abroad. I loved it and can't wait for an opportunity to go back and revisit all the places I went!"en_US
