E. A. Armistead writes from Clifton Forge VA with a math problem he asks A. L. Nelson to solve. The solution of this problem is in the notebook where Nelson worked many math problems. Although the letter carries no date, the postmark on the envelope includes the date: April 20, 1906. This item, along with many others, was inserted into the ledger book journal used by the Nelson family. Inserted items included math problems and solutions, genealogy notes and diagrams, and correspondence.
