The poster includes this description: "This course explores how we can use data from the fossil record, archaeological deposits, and historical records to determine the history of ecological communities in the Chesapeake Bay. We will collect data from these different sources to determine what animals were thriving in the Bay at different periods of time in the past. We will also discuss current restoration efforts and how a historical perspective can assist with the conservation of threatened habitats. Includes trips to the Chesapeake Bay and a week in Washington DC. Appropriate for first-year students."
