Capstone; [FULL-TEXT FREELY AVAILABLE ONLINE] In this paper, I will begin by defining social entrepreneurship and giving a brief overview of the rise of the field, both for the sake of clarity and for the relative novelty of the concept. The following section will describe barriers to entry in the workforce and best practices for ensuring job quality and the career development of low-skill workers. Then I will detail work-integration social enterprises and provide a few case studies. Next, I will apply the capabilities approach to the WISE work experience and conclude with suggestions for WISEs to add value to work experience in order to ensure job quality and more fully expand the employment capability of their beneficiaries.
