The first section of this paper will examine the major psychological and philosophical roots of modern research in the neuropsychology of learning and memory. I will attempt, at the end of this section, to establish the historical assumptions inherent in this field of study. My senior thesis research project, directed at studying the neuropsychology of learning and memory, will follow this section, and will be written up in the standard journal article format. Specific information relevant to the experimental portion of this project will be discussed in the introduction section of the experiment write up, as is customary. [From introductory section]
